Hello, welcome to Haigha House!
It's your home away from home. Haigha House is a beautiful 3-bedroom villa with an infinity swimming pool, tucked away in the middle of Ubud's lush rice terraces and jungle, with a clear view to the Batukaru volcanoes. If you're looking for a peaceful hideaway home to spend your vacation in Bali in style, look no further!
The house's name, "Haigha" (it's pronounced "he-ya"), was taken from one of the most famous characters in Lewis Carroll's book, "Through the Looking Glass". Haigha, also known as the March Hare, is playful and slightly zany, but is definitely a fun character to explore the world with. Such is what we wanted this place to be. A place where people can creatively be inspired, a place where people can get in touch with their inner playful souls, a place where people can be at home.
We designed, built and decorated this house ourselves, and we hope you're going to love it here, as much as we do.
HAIGHA HOUSE'S FACILITIES
"A house is much more than a shelter, it should lift us emotionally, and spiritually."
3-Bedrooms with amazing view
We take pride in our guests' compliment: staying at Haigha House gave them one of the best sleep they have ever had!
The villa has three bedrooms. The Master Bedroom is located on the west wing of the villa. It features a super king-size bed (2x2m) with premium mattress. The master bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with walk-in closet and a beautiful vintage copper bathtub, as well as its own sunset-facing private balcony with direct view to our Balinese garden. On clear days, you could even see the volcanoes directly from the Master Bedroom.
The other two bedrooms are located at the east wing of the villa. The two bedrooms share their own private deck; a long-wooden deck overlooking the jungle, the pool, and the rice terraces. One bedroom has a super king bed (2x2m), and another bedroom has a bunk bed. Both bedrooms in the suite have large windows but also equipped with aircon. The suite quarter also has its own toilet and shower room.
LOUNGE YOUR HEART AWAY
Relax, rejuvenate, meditate, play!
We have an infinity swimming pool with an unbeatable view for you to relax and unwind. Pool inflatables are ready to go, as well as sun loungers and big bean bags that you could use to lounge at the deck.
Speaking of the deck, here's a perfect spot for you to do your daily yoga and meditation, with the tropical jungle as your backdrop. It's so quiet and serene, you can hear the whispering sounds of trees. And when the night falls and the sky is clear, the deck is also an excellent spot to stargaze. When you're lucky, you can sometimes have the fireflies visiting too.
The lounge area features a comfy oversized couch and a collection of books for you to enjoy during your hideaway!
OPEN PLAN LIVING
Spacious and splendid
The villa features a 6m high ceiling, an open-plan free flowing spaces, with quirky interior designs style. Steel, concrete, glasses, and lots of wood, this is not your typical Indonesian-style Joglo bungalow.
If you love loft-style architecture with some Indonesian touch, then you will love our villa.
HOME-COOK EXTRAORDINAIRE PARADISE
Mi cocina es su cocina!
This is the heart of the villa and a dream to any home-cook extraordinaire. It's a spacious, social kitchen with two oversized islands, with a 6m high ceiling, surrounded by lush foliage. It's absolutely perfect for you if you'd like to cook during your stay in Ubud.
Our minimalist dining area features a large natural wood 6-chairs dining table, with floor-to-ceiling windows that can be fully opened to give you an indoor-outdoor living experience while in the tropics. Experience wine and dine surrounded by our tropical garden, for a quality time to remember with your loved ones.
Don't feel like cooking on holiday? Worry not! We can arrange an in-house full serviced dining experience for you. From an authentic Balinese rijsttafel (rice table) service to a multi courses fine dining experience with celebrated local chefs. Wine and beverages service is also available upon request.

OUR LOCATION IN BALI
Haigha House is located in a little Ubudian village called Banjar Tunon. A quaint spot, surrounded by lush rice fields, palm trees, and the river. Lifestyle in the village is idyllic, and it involves plenty of rice farming, temple ceremonies, as well as handicraft making.
(Fun fact: You will often hear a melodic sound of a traditional gamelan from your room. That is our neighbour, who makes Rindik (bamboo gamelan) for a living.)
This authentic little village is located in the southernmost part of Ubud, roughly 5 km from the centre of Ubud: the Monkey Forest Sanctuary. It's a great hideaway destination spot; away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud downtown, but still within a short distance from all the happening spots in Ubud.
